Virtual Assistant and Online Marketing Advice for Petpreneurs
Picture this…
You are getting your pet business newsletter together and ooopppssss…you can’t remember the good articles you saw online that past week. Don’t you hate when that happens? One way to avoid this is Delicious. I’m not talking about food :) I’m talking about a bookmarking website. As defined by Wikipedia, “Delicious (formerly del.icio.us, pronounced “delicious”) is a social book marking web service for storing, sharing, and discovering web bookmarks”. So what does this means? You can now save an url link to your Delicious account and use it whenever you need it.
From now on, if you run into a website that has great articles for your newsletter you can save the url, write a description about it and use it at a later time. The good thing about Delicious is that you can access it anywhere in the world as long as you have Internet. Since the bookmarks are saved in the Delicious database you don’t need your own personal computer to get your bookmarks. This is definitely an advantage.
Delicious is one of my favorite bookmarking tools. Stay tuned for my video showing you how to use Delicious

I discovered and started using Delicious just a few months ago, and can’t imagine how I’ve ever lived without it before. It puts any other bookmarking tool to shame — including a browser’s bookmarking option.
One thing I do to make any webpage I’m on easy to bookmark on Delicious is install the “bookmark on Delicious” browser add-on.
Now all it takes is one click and I’ll never forget the page. Another thing to note is that you can easily keep any and all of your bookmarks private with a click of the mouse.
You can install the browser add on from this page: http://delicious.com/help

Josh, I just realized there was a Firefox add-on for Delicious. Thank you so much for the tip! You rock!

Hooked, indeed. I’ll sometimes actually turn to Delicious to search for something *before* searching on Google.
With the Delicious results, I can immediately assess each link’s popularity (by the number of people who have bookmarked it) and make a more educated choice of which sites to visit.
