I believe in learning something new everyday. I enjoy interacting with people and learning from them. Well, thanks to the social media networking sites, I’ve been interacting with great people in the Twitterverse. Erin Blaskie is one of them and she is amazing! She is young, successful, fabulous and full of fresh ideas. Erin just posted a presentation on what to outsource if you want your blog and your business to be successful.

The presentation is posted here, but I’ll summarize the most important points (well, at least for me!). Erin explains that the point of outsourcing is to hire a virtual assistance so that you can concentrate on the tasks that have no great, monetarily speaking, for you.

What blogging tasks could you outsource so that you have time to create new services, which at the end will give you a higher profit? C.O.D.E. is the answer! (Erin this is brilliant!) C.O.D.E. stands for:

C ~ Content

A virtual assistant could…

  • Research topics and pull information together in a nice packet for you to review to give you ideas.
  • Scan popular blogs and news so that you can blog accordingly.
  • Edit and proofread your blog entries.
  • Add images and videos to your blog.

O ~ Other Media Integration

A virtual assistant could…

  • Integrate your new blog post to other social media sites (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Delicious, etc.).
  • Add Technorati tags to your blog.
  • Post videos to various video sites.

D ~ Design and Graphic Elements

A virtual assistant could setup new plug-ins and update your blog’s theme.

E ~ Efficiency and Systems

A virtual assistant could…

  • Help you become more regular with your blog post.
  • Preschedule your blog posts and Twitter messages.
  • Setup blog post on Microsoft Word and the virtual assistant can format and proofread.

What other tasks would you like to delegate to someone else?
