Most new companies in the pet biz are small size companies with one, two or maybe three employees tops. For traditional marketing to be effective, you will get involved in the your local community by posting up flyers, maybe posting an ad on the local newspaper, etc. Well, social media can definitely help you out! Heck, it might even save you some money since the majority of the social media network sites are FREE. Use Twitter Local and Twellow to find people in your area that use Twitter.
Add different search columns to TweetDeck using the built-in search feature to keep track of tweeps discussing topics related to your pet business. Once you identify these individuals, join the conversation and start networking.

Text message marketing works great for local business. Text message marketing allow you to reach the right customer at the right time at the right region with the right information.
