Most new companies in the pet biz are small size companies with one, two or maybe three employees tops. For traditional marketing to be effective, you will get involved in the your local community by posting up flyers, maybe posting an ad on the local newspaper, etc. Well, social media can definitely help you out! Heck, it might even save you some money since the majority of the social media network sites are FREE.  This is why I wanted to share this very special video on how to use social media to market your local business (Thanks Shama!). Shama, is one of my favorite people to follow on Facebook and Twitter. I learned lots from her and I know you guys will too.

Important points discussed in this short video on how to use social media to market locally…

  1. Make sure your pet business has a website.
  2. Use Twitter to connect, network and promote. Make sure you know how to use Twitter effectively.
  3. Schedule meetups with people that share your passion or have your same business goals.
  4. Marketing, marketing, marketing (if increasing revenue is your goal!)

So what is your marketing strategy to market your pet biz locally? How do you use social media to market your pet biz? I would love to hear what you have to say.
