Virtual Assistant and Online Marketing Advice for Petpreneurs
Whenever I look to spend money on things for my dogs I make sure the company or store is involved in their community one way or another. As a customer, I’m attracted to stores that give a certain percentage of their sales to non-profit rescue organizations or host an event to raise awareness and money for an organization that needs it in order to keep helping animals out there.
The ASPCA gave me a great marketing idea and your pet business can benefit from it. It is simple…a Towel Drive! Collect towels from your customers or clients. For example, if you own a pet sitting company you could collect towels from your clients. Promote the Towel Drive in your newsletter and in your website. Collect the towels for one month and then donate them to the non-profit rescue organization of your choice. Clients will love the fact that you are helping the pets in your community! A Towel Drive is a simple event that you can plan in a couple of hours and is free marketing for your pet business.
What other things do you do to help non-profit rescue organizations? We would love to hear your ideas!

what a fantastic idea - and it doesn’t cost people anything to donate! I think this will be my first fundraiser!

another drive to go hand in hand with the towels is laundry soap! those things get dirty, after all!
